9-Axis Development Kit for ICM‑42688‑P and ICM‑42670‑P MotionTracking® Device
The DK-42688P-9x and DK-42670P-9x are two comprehensive development platforms for 9-axis motion sensing solutions.
DK-42688P-9x comprises of two distinct boards in one boxed solution - DK-42688-P and daughter board DB-IST8306. This daughter board can be attached to the DK board to create a complete 9-axis evaluation kit.
DK-42670P-9x comprises of two distinct boards in one boxed solution - DK-42670-P and daughter board DB-IST8306. This daughter board can be attached to the DK board to create a complete 9-axis evaluation kit.
These 9-axis sensor solutions comprise of a high performance 6-axis motion sensor - ICM-42688-P/ICM-42670-P, and a 3-axis magnetometer Isentek IST8306 high-precision hall sensor.
The platform, designed around Microchip G55 MCU can be used by developers for rapid evaluation and development of 9-axis based solution. The 9-axis solution includes an on-board Embedded Debugger so external tools are not required to program or debug the G55 MCU.
The development kit comes with necessary software including InvenSense Motion Link, a GUI based development tool and embedded Motion Drivers.
Embedded Motion Drivers (eMD) consists of a set of APIs to configure various aspects of the platform including 6-axis motion sensor and IST-8306 sensor parameters such as full-scale range (FSR), output data rate (ODR), low-power or low-noise mode, and sensor interface to host (I3C℠, I²C, SPI).
MotionLink is a GUI based development tool included with the platform. It can be used to capture and visualize the sensor data from the motion sensor.
