ICM-45686

High-Precision 6-Axis MEMS MotionTracking® Device

The ICM-45686 is an ultra high‑performance 6‑axis MEMS motion sensor family with the world’s first BalancedGyro™ technology and lowest power consumption. The sensor combines a 3‑axis gyroscope and a 3‑axis accelerometer in a compact 2.5 × 3 × 0.81 mm package.

The BalancedGyro technology by TDK is the first‑of‑its‑kind gyroscope MEMS architecture that enables supreme vibration rejection and temperature stability performance, an enhancement never seen before in a consumer gyroscope.

ICM-45686 provides higher full-scale range upto 4000 dps and 32g, better temperature stability to reduce temperature related drift, and high-performance features such as Real Time Clock Input and 18/19 bit high-resolution FIFO.

This family offers the world’s lowest power 6‑axis motion sensor. This allows the gyroscope to be on 40% of the times more than any other gyroscope in the industry. This also offers the very first Gyroscope Low Power Mode, enabling ~200uA of 6-axis IMU current consumption, making it the top choice for wearables, hearables and any battery driven IoT application.

It has a configurable host interface that supports I3C℠, I²C and SPI serial communication, and an AUX interface that supports SPI slave mode for connection to OIS controllers or I²C master mode for connection to external sensors.

ICM-42670-P

High-Performance 6-Axis MotionTracking® IMU

Ultra‑low power 6‑Axis IMU targeted at Consumer and IoT applications which require longer battery life. It has the industry’s lowest power consumption for both 6‑axis and accelerometer only operating modes.

Microchip with TDK logo and "ICM-42370-P" etched onto its surface

ICM-42370-P

High-Performance 3-Axis MotionTracking® Accelerometer

The ICM-42370-P is a high-performance 3-axis MEMS accelerometer. It targets consumer/industrial appliances, security camera and IoT applications that require low noise and high accuracy accel data with low power consumption. It features 16-bit ADC for high accel sensitivity and supports wide range of on-chip motion event/activity detection based on interrupt or register access without addition user programming.

The ICM-42370-P is in a 2.5 × 3 × 0.76 mm (14‑pin LGA) package which is pin compatible to standard 6-axis IMU footprint. This drop-in compatibility enables easy transition between 3-axis and 6-axis solution depends on different application requirements.

The device supports a VDD/VDDIO operating range of 1.71V to 3.6V. Other features include configurable host interface that supports I3C℠, I²C, and SPI serial communication, up to 2.25 Kbytes FIFO and 2 programmable interrupts with ultra-low-power wake-on-motion support to minimize system power consumption.

ICM-40609-D

Designed for Drones

The ICM-40609-D is a 6-axis MEMS MotionTracking™ device that combines a 3-axis gyroscope and a 3-axis accelerometer designed for the drone market. The ICM-40609-D is form factor compatible with our legacy drone devices – making the transition to the latest offering incredibly simple.

The ICM-40609-D takes advantage of a state-of-the-art architecture design that enhances the IMU’s performance and accuracy over temperature, making it the ideal drone solution to control the stability of the platform during long flight times that may experience high temperature shifts.

The ICM-40609-D has a max ODR of 32 KHz, making it the best sampling rate available in a consumer device. The ability to capture data at such a high ODR allows for customers to easily find any anomalies or errors that need to be addressed during flight. The accel Full Scale Range has also been increased to 32g, allowing for substantial linear movement to be easily tracked.
