TDK Corporation (TSE:6762) announces the InvenSense Product Longevity Program (PLP), committing long term availability of high-performance sensors for both automotive and industrial applications. This program applies to all SmartIndustrial™ components and all newly introduced SmartAutomotive™ components. It targets industries with long design cycles and operational life, and it guarantees OEMs sustainable long-term manufacturing of their products.
This longevity program will:
“We want to provide the best service for customers developing products with a long life cycle. Starting from the ground up, we designed and engineered products with longevity in mind,” said Camilo Delgado, Director of Marketing and Industrial business at InvenSense, a TDK group company. “These products are designed for harsher environments and are tested and manufactured to higher accuracy and stability, performance resiliency. Long-term supply is planned and assured.”
The longevity program will be effective immediately, and all the information regarding components can be found at invensense.tdk.com/longevity. At the end of its longevity program, each part number is subject to standard end-of-life notification policies in case of termination. In limited cases, for example, in the event of a large volume decrease, technology, or manufacturing change, a PLP product may be replaced by a compatible product.
